What you'll learn

  1. Identify all constraints in a real-world problem and represent each as an equation or inequality in two variables
  2. Graph a system of linear inequalities and shade the feasible region — the set of all points satisfying all constraints simultaneously
  3. Identify specific points in the feasible region and interpret them as viable solutions in context
  4. Identify points outside the feasible region and explain why they are non-viable solutions
  5. Interpret boundary lines of the feasible region as equality constraints and determine whether they are included (solid line) or excluded (dashed line)
